Question by GothicSunshine: What is the difference between manga/anime and western art?
I know that the main difference is in the style of drawing it, but what exactly is the difference between the styles?
Yes, Aleksandra A you kind of do sound rude, and that’s defiantly NOT the kind of thing I’m looking for. I do NOT want anyone’s personal opinion. I have to say John’s answer is more towards what I’m looking for, but again I’m not looking for opinions; nothing is “perfect”.

Eyes, bodies, faces…and that Japanese are NUMBER ONE in animation and comic Haven’t you seen how detailed anime and manga are? How can you compair Pokemon to Dexter’s Laboratory or Winx Club? As a popular american journalist, whose name I can’t remember ^^”, said, “Animes live their own life and sweep you away”.
Difference in styles you say?! Dexter has four fingers for example T_T…I can’t remember seeing a man with four fingers in the real world and the girls in Winx Club have so thin bodies and legs…unbelievable.
The biggest difference is that anime and manga reflect the real world…and most western arts…come on, even Huntik (an Italian animation) is just ridiculous.
And anime and manga have good plots too ^^
